Organisms with cells that have membrane bounded organelles including a nucleus, mitochondria, a Golgi apparatus, chloroplasts and endoplasmic reticulum. They also have an extensive cytoskeleton of filaments and tubules. The DNA in eukaryotes are organised into chromosomes located in the nucleus.
