The Promoter is a special starting sequence on a DNA-segment at which enzymes - conducting the initiation of gene expressions - bind. Depending on where the promoter is located within a DNA-segment the gene product is alike. In modern gene research scientists can regulate whith specialized state-of-the-art technologies where the gene expression of a certain protein may begin by introducing artificial promoter into a DNA-segment.
