Traditionally defined as sound with a frequency higher than the human ear can detect. This includes all sound above 25 kHz. Ultrasound can penetrate a medium and measure the reflection signature or supply focused energy. The reflection signature can reveal details about the inner structure of the medium, which is used for sonography to produce an image of human foetus in the woman’s womb.
